This forum is for discussing Jentina. There are not many people who really give a d**n about her anymore (personally I'm not too fussed anymore) but for those who do they deserve a place to talk about her without being put off. I'm sure you can respect this.

Lady Sovereign really hasn't got anything to do with it. I think she probably only wrote her 'diss' to get attention drawn to herself, and if you're honest, it worked. Presumbly you are now a Sovereign fan.. and be honest with yourself, would you like her quite as much if she hadn't have dissed Jentina? There's one to think about... I really don't think she had any impact at all on Jentina's career, because most people didn't even hear her diss.
It was quite simple why Jentina's career wasn't a success: they released a single - and due to strange marketing it didn't chart well (looking back, a chav image was really never going to sell). They changed her image and released another single: that didn't sell either. If records don't sell, artists get dropped. You can't really blame Virgin for giving up... record companies aim to make money.
And also, I don't think there is any point getting personal with Jentina. If anyone's to blame it's the record company. Jentina is not the bad girl she was marketed as. Jentina is really no different to somone like Billie Piper.. manufactured image, not much control over the music, and she even came from the same stage school I believe. If you think one of them looks prettier than the other, or prefer the music of one than the other, that's really a matter of taste - but like Jentina, it's the producers you should be giving credit to.
As for Lady S... I really don't think she has much talent. I'm not saying Jentina does either. But Sovereigns lyrics really aren't that amazing, and she sets bad examples. She didn't sell well either. She may have more input in to her music than Jentina did, but the record's really aren't that great.
Well, there's my non-biased view on the Jentina situation. I think topics like this are a bit childish anyway. I think most people really don't give a d**n about Jentina anymore, but it seems that one person (maybe 2?) wants to dwell on something that is now history.
